Job description

We are seeking to appoint a creative, dynamic and experienced Year 1 Teacher to join our Key Stage 1 teaching team at a school based in Sunderland. The school is larger than average sized and were graded Good in their Ofsted inspection in March 2016.

Pupils enjoy coming to school and are happy, school provides a variety of experiences including outdoor learning. It is a forward-thinking and thriving environment with a committed senior leadership team in place.

About the role:

  • Teaching a Year 1 Class of 29 pupils with 2 SEN pupils

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a UK recognised Teaching qualification
  • Strong knowledge on the KS1 curriculum
  • Be a passionate and committed practitioner who is able to quickly adapt to the changing needs of their pupils
  • Be an outstanding, inspirational teacher with an excellent record of classroom practice and high expectations of behaviour and achievement
  • Be a strong team player, able to communicate and contribute effectively within the school community
