Job description

This Heywood based school requires for a Year 1 Teacher to join their team until Easter. The role will be on a full time basis.

The school is 'smaller than average' and needs a teacher who is passionate about the development of young minds. The Head teacher is aware of the current areas which require improvement and is working hard on this.

The pupils are currently performing below the National Average in their reading and writing and require some assistance to raise attainment. However, they are motivated and challenged by staff to 'aim high' and are working hard to get there. Pupils enjoy going to school and feel happy and valued.

The role is full-time and on a long term basis until the end of Academic year. The successful individual will be able to plan, prepare and deliver stimulating and challenging lessons that keep young pupils engaged in classwork and ensure that they develop in their social and academic skills.

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Have QTS Status - We will consider NQTs with excellent references
  • Have proven experience working within a primary school, especially in Year 1
  • Demonstrate a passion for educating young children
  • Have excellent classroom management skills
  • Be committed to growing and developing as a teacher

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
