Teaching Personnel have a new and exclusive vacancy for a New Year start 2020 (January 2020)!
A Primary school that Teaching Personnel work exclusively with have recently contacted the agency with a full-time Year 1 class teaching role starting from 6th January 2020. The school is located near the Huddersfield town centre with reliable public transport routes to and from the school. The school is located in the HD1 area of Huddersfield.
This is a larger than average sized Primary school with approximately 459 pupils on roll. Over 50% of children in this school speak English as an Additional Language (EAL) and over 20 different languages are spoken in the school. Therefore teachers applying for this role need to be experienced in teaching and supporting EAL pupils as well as pupils who are not working at the age related expectations in Year 1.
The Head teacher at this school has been in post for around 10 years and over this period and as an IMPROVING school they are on their way to receive a GOOD Ofsted. The school are looking for a Teacher who has a creative and exciting personality who can bring new ideas to the school and to the Key Stage 1 Team which has a team of 2 Teachers and a cover supervisor / HLTA. The year 1 class also has a General Teaching Assistant.
What type of Teacher is the Head Teacher looking for?
The Head teacher is looking for a hard working, creative and enthusiastic practitioner who is able to build strong relationships with the children and their parents. The Head Teacher is looking for a Teacher who has sound working knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and phonics screening and testing (Year 1).
What do you need to do to secure the role?
To apply you must have the above pre-requisites. You must also apply through sending an up to date CV and cover email. Your CV needs to include the following; Last 6 years of employment (including studying and non-teaching roles). The Head teacher is keen to interview before Christmas and start the teacher in school before Christmas ready to settle in to the role for the new year (January 2020).

As you will be contracted to Teaching Personnel whilst working in this role, any vetting, pay, HR and other employment related issues will be dealt with by Teaching Personnel. Pay rates for the day will be negotiated on offer of the role and will be highly competitive based on your experience. Working hours are flexible as the demand of a school working day will vary throughout the working week.
