Year 1 Early Career Teacher

Exclusive opportunity to Teaching Personnel

Full time role via Teaching Personnel ECT pool

September 2021 start

Supply contract (Full year)

Salary: GBP85 - GBP135 per day

A two-form primary school located in Nelson are looking for an enthusiastic ECT with KS1 experience to commit to a years teaching position, starting in September 2021. We have worked with this school for over three years and have provided teachers and teaching assistants on a day-to-day basis as well as long term cover. This role has arisen due a permanent member of staff leaving on Maternity, but is having to leave  earlier than expected due to health concerns. The Head Teacher has said she would fully support the successful candidate in order to complete your ECT year. You would receive the allocated PPA and ECT time each week.

You must be a well organised, efficient and reflective practitioner with high expectations of child development, learning and behaviour. You must also be able to plan and deliver a creative curriculum, create a purposeful and stimulating learning environment and form good relationships with children, parents/carers and staff. You would be expected to attend staff meetings, INSETs and Parents Evenings through the academic year.

In order to be considered for this role you must hold the following as a necessity:

-          QTS in Primary Education

-          Experience in working with children in a Primary setting

-          Sound knowledge of Phonics schemes of work – in particular Letters & Sounds

-          Experience teaching Key Stage 1

-          Have at least two education-based references from your most recent employer(s) which are ‘GOOD’ or ‘OUTSTANDING’.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
