A mainstream school in Islington are looking for a Year 1 Class Teacher to join their KS1 team after the Easter break. This school is rated 'Good' and continue make improvements each term. The school has been part of the Islington community since 1955 and thousands of children have been educated there in the last 73 years.

The school is currently undergoing expansion and will change from being a one and a half form entry to three form entry.

The most important is that children should be considerate in their relationships with others. The believes that they have a key role in society in combating discrimination and promoting fairness, justice and equality.

Role: Year 1 Class Teacher (KS1)

Pay: Upper pay, main scale

Requirements: QTS & 2 years experience

The Successful Year 1 Class Teacher:

  • The successful applicant needs to have a team player attitude
  • The teacher must be extremely driven, reliable and hard-working
  • Teacher displays a clear and thorough understanding of the curriculum
  • Secure knowledge and skills relating to strategies in working with pupils of all achievement levels.
  • An interest, motivation and passion for working with special needs children and developing skills to facilitate this
