Year 1 and Year 2 Class Teacher - Burnley

-          Have you had experience working in Key Stage 1?

Job Type: Part time

Rate of pay: GBP90 - GBP145

Start date: January 2020

End date: July 2020

 

An average sized Primary school situated in Burnley has approached Teaching Personnel in order to source a teacher to work on a part time basis in the mixed Year 1 and 2 Class. The role is available due to a secondment so they are hoping to find an enthusiastic teacher who can show committed to the role and the school. The role is on a part time basis (two and half days a week) to start in January 2020 for the rest of the academic year. There is flexibility with the days you would be required therefore you would be able to arrange this with the Head Teacher and other class teacher. The Head Teacher is happy to consider NQTs and experienced teachers for this role.

The class you would be teaching are average sized with a mixed catchment of white British and Asian heritage. Feedback from Teaching Personnel staff who have been in school recently to cover short term absences have said the school is lovely and is a pleasure to work in. The Head Teacher has commented that they want to employ a candidate with a proven track record of raising attainment. You must also be able to create a purposeful and engaging learning environment and form good relationships with children, parents/carers and staff. You will be expected to contribute to the wider School Community by leading an after school club, attending INSETs and staff meetings.

To be considered for the role, you must have:

  • Experience delivering the Year 1 and/or 2 Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom practice
  • A confident approach, knows how to adapt well in different situations
  • PGCE (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Good behaviour management
