Job description

We are seeking a Year 6 Teacher on behalf of a client school based in Stanley, Durham.

The role is for a position at an Ofsted rated 'Good' Primary school. The ideal candidate should have an affluent background in teaching Upper KS2 pupils of mixed ability and have the drive to support and guide pupils to succeed and engage in their learning. Experience of Year 6 SATs with proven successful levels of attainment is highly desired to maintain the school's achievements.

The Senior Leadership Team are highly organised and very welcoming of new staff to the school. The position is to start Tuesday 23rd April and will be for the summer term but has potential to be extended. Shortlisting will be done on 25th March 2019.

The position is full time, working within a single form entry school. You will be expected to work under the instruction/guidance of the Head Teacher to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching in Y6 and maintain current high standards in KS2.

To be considered for the position of Year 6 Teacher you must:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (UK recognised)
  • Have experience of teaching in Year 6
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Experience of Year 6 SATS
  • Must undertake the planning, teaching and assessment of all subjects
