Job description

Over the half-term break, Teaching Personnel have been in contact with a reputable school located in the Outskirts of Chorley in between Chorley and Blackburn. This school is a smaller than average village school and the Headteacher has approached Teaching Personnel to source two INSPIRATIONAL Teaching Assistants to start in school ASAP. Please see further details regarding both posts below.

Role 1- Lower KS2 Behaviour Support role. Hours are 8:45-13:00 - Five days per week.

Role 2 - Early Years SEN Support - working alongside a child who requires additional Speech and Language Support and assistance with mobility. Hours are 8:45-12:30 - Five days per week.

These really are excellent opportunities for Teaching Assistants who have experience working alongside children with complex needs and have experience supporting 'hard to reach pupils'.

In order to be considered you must have…

  • Experience working alongside young children within the past 12 months.
  • Minimum Level 2+ childcare relate qualification.
  • An open minded and patient attitude with the ability to build positive relationships with children.
  • Have a passion for delivering high quality education for each child.

This is a village school serving a pleasant catchment area, behaviour is exemplary in school and staff are welcoming and supportive. The Headteacher is looking for practitioners who will share their knowledge in order to develop best practice; the Headteacher has an open door policy and is committed to school improvement.

Both roles are to start immediately however the school are able to cover these roles internally for the next two weeks in order to secure the right candidates for the posts.
