Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Year 6 Learning Support Assistant in an 'Outstanding' 2 form Primary School in St John's Wood. The school have a lovely purpose built site only a short walk from the Tube Station.

The Position

The role is a Learning Support Assistant role working in Year 6. This position will be focused around providing additional support to a pupil that has Global Developmental Delay and preparing them for SAT's. The pupil has a high functioning ability but is behind his peers' academic level.

Hours will be 8:30-4pm on Monday to Friday and it will be a long term contract until the end of the academic year if successful. Pay will be between £60-£70 per day depending on experience.

To Be Successful

Candidates with the following are more likely to be shortlisted:

  • Undergraduate Degree or Childhood Related Qualification
  • At least 1 Year experience working with children (school based or other relevant)
  • Sound knowledge of Global/Developmental Delay and other Special Educational Needs.
  • Some knowledge SAT's level learning.
  • Able to commit long term until the end of the academic year.
