Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistants

A Welsh Medium Primary School in the CF14 area is seeking a dedicated Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant to provide classroom support across the school for the remainder of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teaching staff in the delivery of engaging lessons through the medium of Welsh.

• Assist individual pupils and small groups to ensure inclusive learning for all.

• Provide one-to-one support where required, including additional learning needs (ALN).

• Help to prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, organised environment.

• Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to pupils’ emotional and social development.

Person Specification:

• Fluent Welsh speaker (essential).

• Experience working with children within an educational setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• A valid DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
