Location: Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr, Caerphilly
Contract: Full Time, Until the end of the academic year
Pay Rate: £172.98 per day
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible

Are you a passionate Welsh-speaking Primary Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity to inspire young learners?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to work within Welsh-medium primary schools in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area. This role offers the chance to teach across Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils in developing their confidence and love of learning through the medium of Welsh.

About the Role

  • Teach engaging and well-structured lessons through the medium of Welsh.
  • Deliver high-quality learning experiences across the primary curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages confidence and participation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Fluent in Welsh (spoken and written).
  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Passionate about promoting the Welsh language and culture.
  • Flexible, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality teaching.
  • Able to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.

Requirements

Teaching Personnel provides guidance and support for obtaining the following:

  • Education Workforce Council (EWC) Registration
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Two professional references covering the last two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
