A part time role has arisen in a Welsh medium primary school in Carmarthenshire. The head teacher is looking for an experienced teaching assistant with a background in SEN and primary education. The role will be on a 1:1 basis with a year 6 pupil with learning difficulties so someone with experience supporting pupils of a similar age with additional learning needs is a must.
The school is a Category A Welsh school, therefore the ability to speak fluent Welsh is essential.
You will be required to support the pupil during all lessons, the pupil is capable of completing work at an appropriate level for their ability but requires support to say on task.
To be considered for this position you must:
- Be a first language Welsh speaker
- Have experience working with pupils with Special Education Needs
- Be available from January until the end of the academic year
- Be keen to work part time.

Appropriate vetting will need to be completed to be accepted for this role.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
