Welsh-Speaking Primary Teacher
Position: Welsh-Speaking Primary Teacher (Year 3/4)
Location: Cardiff, Wales

About the school: The school is a dynamic and inclusive primary school that values and promotes education through the medium of Welsh. Their aim is to create an engaging, supportive, and stimulating environment where every child enjoys learning and can reach their full potential.
Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Welsh speaking Primary Teacher to join the team in the school from September 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the national curriculum through the medium of Welsh, inspiring and motivating young learners, and contributing to the overall ethos and success of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Welsh to primary school students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and personal development of each child.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Foster a love for the Welsh language and culture among students.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and development.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Child only DBS on the update service and registration with the Education Workforce Council.
- Fluent in Welsh and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably within a bilingual or Welsh-medium context (including placements if you are an NQT).
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
