Job description

Working on behalf of a lovely primary school in Llanelli Teaching Personnel are seeking a Welsh speaking learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a child with autism. The position would be to support them throughout the day in 1:1 and small group settings.

Candidates with the following are more likely to be shortlisted:

  • Welsh speaker is a requirement
  • CACHE level 2 or above would be an advantage
  • Background in a similar SEN role working with pupils that have challenging behaviour.
  • Preferably experience working in another Independent school with high expectations.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • To be passionate about education and committed to making a difference to the lives of young people
  • Experience or substantial knowledge of working with Foundation Phase children
  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a school environment

The school has been awarded 'Excellent' by Estyn and would expect anyone that joined their staff to uphold the high standards that have been set. To be successful you would need to be a proactive and forward thinking individual. To ensure the correct candidate we would look to hold trial days in the school.
