Wellbeing Mentor

Are you looking for an exciting role working with pupils who need extra support?

Do you have experience supporting wellbeing and mental health?

The position: Wellbeing Mentor

  • Salary: Earn GBP 66-80 per day
  • Location: Bristol
  • Full-time, September start

Students have spent more time at home than ever it is proving difficult to transition them back into full-time education. Schools are looking for a teaching assistant to work with secondary students with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) issues which are now affecting her levels of educational progress.

Encouraging engagement with the classroom teacher and learning is fundamental, as well as support with emotional management. In addition to that you will be required to take students for intervention groups using work set by each department.

The ideal Wellbeing Mentor:

  • Friendly, patient and approachable
  • Confident and proactive support
  • Experience with vulnerable children and/or adults
  • Experience with SEMH/Mental Health and/or SEN is desirable
  • Understanding of confidentially and safeguarding of children and young people

Wellbeing Mentors must have the right to work within the UK and the ability to provide two references from their most recent employers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid child workforce Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
