A school in the East Ardsley area of Wakefield (roughly 6 miles from the centre of Leeds) are seeking a strong and effective Upper KS2 teacher. The school is of average size with 260 students and has roughly around 12% SEN students. The Wakefield school in their last OFSTED rating received 'Good' and was commended for their ethos and great service to the larger community. In particular, the school has a fantastic approach to ensuring that staff morale is kept high and a clear vision is presented for everyone in school.

The role is to start in January and therefore the school are seeking to interview teachers as soon as possible. If you're looking for a school that sets the standard in the local community but consistently seeks to improve then this school could be perfect for you.

A successful teacher will be:

  • An outstanding practitioner who can enthuse and inspire staff and pupils
  • Can demonstrate a loyalty and commitment to which this post requires
  • Can demonstrate a strong commitment and drive to raising standards and achieving the best for their pupils
  • Can demonstrate strong inter-personal skills
  • Have Upper KS2 experience (KS2 SATs is also preferable but not essential)
  • Have an update service-registered DBS
