Unqualified supply teachers Hampshire

Job description

Cover Supervisor - Hampshire

Due to increased demand within Hampshire, Teaching Personnel are searching for individuals who are looking to gain experience within the education sector and are ready for their next career move. We are looking to recruit a number of Cover Supervisors to support schools in the Portsmouth, Waterlooville and Fareham areas with their day to day requirements. With demand increasing, we are also looking to recruit for further areas of Hampshire, extending to Southampton, Basingstoke and Fleet.

The role of a Cover Supervisor is a varied and exciting one that essentially involves covering the absence of the full class teacher. It allows you to have full class responsibilities, distributing the pre-planned work, managing classroom behaviour, trouble shooting any problems students may have and acting as a first point of contact for your designated pupils. The role may also involve shadowing or acting as a support assistant for other teachers classes; giving you a holistic view of what the teaching profession can be like, whilst also learning from the best in the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to step into teaching, PGCE applicants, graduates of specific subject areas or those looking for a more flexible work life balance. If you meet the criteria below, we would love to hear from you ASAP!

To be considered for this role:

  • Have experience working with secondary age students in some capacity whether voluntary or paid
  • Be a recent graduate looking to continue your development within the education sector
  • Have flexible availability and be able to work within an ever changing environment
  • Have a full UK driving license and own transport

In return we can offer:

  • Flexible working hours shaped around your availability
  • Competitive rates of pay, between £60-£80 per day dependant on experience
  • Access to CPD academy and accredited training courses

To apply for this role, submit an up to date CV today!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
