University Graduate Teacher - Plymouth Area
Position: University Graduate Teacher Location: Plymouth, Devon Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: September 2023
Role and Responsibilities: As a university graduate teacher, you will join our passionate team of educators and contribute to the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning experiences. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in your specialist subject area
- Employing a variety of teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles
- Providing effective support and guidance to students, fostering their academic growth
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum materials
- Engaging in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills
- Participating in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities
- Upholding the school's values, policies, and standards at all times
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area (PGCE or equivalent desirable)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the curriculum in your specialist subject
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their potential
- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Commitment to continuous professional development
