Two year 2 teachers are needed for an Oldham Primary School- start Easter 2018.

Head Teacher and Governors of local large primary school based in Oldham OL8 have an exciting opportunity for two year 2 teachers to join its expanding staff team for Easter 2018. The successful candidates will be part of a forward thinking, dynamic team and will join a school which is committed to offering the best possible opportunities for children, families, staff and governors through personal and professional development for all.

  • Two year 2 teachers are needed for 2018-19 on a full time basis for the full academic year position starting in Easter 2018, Oldham OL8
  • Salary: £ 23,750-£31,200 (depending on experience)

This is an average sized primary school. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for free school meals is well above the national average. Most pupils are of White British heritage with very few pupils from minority ethnic groups. The proportion of disabled pupils and of those with special educational needs is above average. The school meets the government's current floor standard, which sets the minimum expectations for students' attainment and progress. There have been a number of changes to staffing within the school since the time of the last inspection.

Duties:

The Class Teacher will:

  • Display a high standard of professional behaviour and integrity at all times.
  • Promote and maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Actively implement agreed school policies.
  • Support initiatives decided by the Headteacher and staff.
  • Meet the needs of individual children through preparation, planning appropriate to the agreed school framework and operation and evaluation of an effective and relevant classroom.
  • Be able to set clear group or individual targets, based on prior attainment, for pupils' learning and monitor progress in achieving them.
  • Provide a stimulating learning environment within the classroom and around school through the effective use of display that celebrates achievements and reinforces learning
