Two Year 1 Teaching Assistants Required in Orrell

Are you experienced supporting pupils within a Year 1 or Early Years? Do you have a strong Phonic knowledge? Do you have a real passion to make a difference?

If so a larger than average primary school located in the Orrell area of Wigan is currently looking to appoint two Year 1 teaching assistants to work alongside the class teacher and support children in a small group and 1:1 basis. The school is easily access via Wigan, Liegh,Preston and Warrington and has a real passion to ensure that both staff and pupils are fully supported in everything they do. They are looking for a candidate who is keen to make a difference and has a nurturing personality and has an understand of pupils from different backgrounds, giving every pupil an equal opportunity.

In order to be successful, you will need to:

  • Have a strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum.
  • Have a strong knowledge of phonics.
  • Be experienced supporting children on a general, 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about making a difference.
  • Be a strong communicator and be able to work as part of a team.
