Tutors (SEMH) - Stockport - immediate start

Job description

An LEA situated in Stockport are currently looking for an SEMH Tutors to start immediately. Tutors will work on 1:1 basis with pupils who have are being educated outside of mainstream education. The pupils who are being outside of mainstream education are being educated outside of mainstream education for a variety of reasons including: SEN, SEMH needs and teenage pregnancy.

Ideally the LEA will be looking for Tutors who have experience working with pupils who have SEMH needs. Due to the nature of the needs of pupils they can sometimes be prone to display signs of volitale behaviour, so ideally the Tutors will have strong behaviour management skills. Each referral will usually involve working 10 hours per week and Tutors can take on as many or as little as they wish.

The succesful tutor:

- Will have the opportunity to postively influcence the lives of children and young people

- Will have the opportunity to take on up to 3 referrals per day

- Earn up to GBP25 pound per hour dependent on experience and travel costs
