Job description

Are you a dedicated and professional private tutor who enjoys teaching children and making a real difference in their performance in school? We are looking for flexible and adaptable individuals that are confident in covering a mixture of lessons when work and lessons are set or delivering 1:1 tuition sessions in KS3 & KS4 Maths, Science and English.

Main subjects in high demand: Maths, English, Physics, Biology, Science, Humanities

All levels required: GCSE, A-level, Degree

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lessons are typically 1-2 hours long.
  • Lessons take place in students' homes, so you should be comfortable travelling to them.
  • Students vary from primary to adult learners, with many seeking help for specific examinations, such as GCSEs or A-Levels, SAT and Entrance exams (7+, 11+).
  • You should join us if you can commit to regular weekly lesson until your student's exam time.

Qualifications and Skills

  • You must have strong subject knowledge, a personable nature and have a degree (1st or 2:1) in the subject you teach
  • Formal teaching qualification is desirable but we also accept applicants with strong academic qualification and tutoring experience.
  • Child only workforce DBS that is registered on the update service - If you do not have one already you can apply for one through Teaching Personnel

*To qualify a teacher must work 2 days and a Teaching Assistant must work 5 days through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
