Teaching Personnel, the UK's largest education recruitment agency, is looking for experienced English & Maths Tutors to work with students across Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties. You will be working with children across Key Stages 1-4 who have been permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion, or are awaiting a place in a mainstream or SEN school.

You will be working on a 1-1 basis, most of the time in the student's home. We are able to offer highly rewarding assignments, which are challenging, fulfilling and enjoyable.

These assignments are flexible and you have complete control over how many students you work with. You can take on as many or as few referrals as you can manage. We will put you in contact with the parent/carer of the young person and you will arrange sessions to take place at a time on a day that suits you.

Your role & responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 tutoring sessions at the student's home.
  • Prepare and deliver tutoring sessions to best meet the academic needs and goals of the student.
  • Assess the student's knowledge on a regular basis and compile feedback and progress reports.

The ideal candidate would be

  • A qualified teacher/experienced tutor/cover supervisor with experience in planning lessons
  • Have good subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Have previous tutoring/intervention experience.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Are flexible, organised, reliable and punctual.
  • Have access to own transport

What Teaching Personnel can offer to you

  • Local tuition referrals across Northamptonshire
  • No shortage of work - referrals for new tuition come in daily
  • Flexible working hours
  • Competitive rates of pay (£20-£25 per hour)
  • A dedicated Tuition Consultant to provide support & guidance when needed

When providing tuition through Teaching Personnel, there is no obligation to take on any students. Registration is a quick and painless process, and you will always have full control over your own diary, allowing you to pick and choose the assignments that suit both you and your schedule.

For more information about our tuition service and how we can help you take the next steps in private tuition, call me today on 01604 521215 to discuss your options. I am currently inundated with referrals for students needing a tutor, could you help?
