Are you looking for an alternative teaching path, where you can make a real difference to the children? Are you able to offer support and guidance to the hardest to reach pupils who are unable to access mainstream education? If so, Teaching Personnel could have the ideal job role for you!

This is an excellent opportunity for an outreach tutor to work on a 1:1 basis with students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, although academically they may be lower. The majority of the students you will be working with, will have been excluded from mainstream education due to behavioural difficulties or behaviour linked to autism, learning difficulties or social, emotional and mental health issues. The key characteristics that we are looking for, is someone nurturing, calm and with an unbiased opinion or pre-conception of excluded pupils. As this role will be adapting work according to abilities and interests, you should be able to think on your feet and be flexible in your approach to work. Ideally you will have experience teaching vulnerable people, or those with SEMH. This is an exciting opportunity for a forwarding thinking and creative teacher who is looking for a different position and has the desire to make a difference to the education of children's lives.
