Face to Face Tuition Available
Teaching Personnel Tuition Service is looking for tutors in South East London to work with students who are not attending school. Tuition will most likely be based in the student’s family or foster home, or possibly their local library.
Examples of the most recent referrals we have received include:
- A male student in year 11 who has been excluded from school and has challenging behaviour – Charlton
- A male student in year 8 who has ASD and social/communication difficulties – Woolwich
- A female student in year 10 who is LAC, has ADHD and behaviour difficulties – Belvedere
- A male student in year 11 who has ASD and sensory needs – New Eltham
Most tuition referrals are between 1 and 3 hours per day, and most tuition referrals are between 3 and 5 days per week. The exact timings for tuition can be flexible, although it usually needs to be within school hours (between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday, term time only).
Most tuition referrals are for maths AND English – so it would be beneficial if you can offer both at either functional skills or GCSE level.
- £25/hour pay rate – we are a PAYE company (no umbrella company)
- A student profile will be provided in advance before you begin tuition
- You have freedom to choose the structure of your sessions, and to choose which topics you would like to deliver and in what order, provided you are following the National Curriculum
You must be able to attend work in the Lewisham/Greenwich/Bexley areas, as this is where we get most of our referrals for tuition.
If you are interested in this kind of work, please contact Louise by sending your CV to start the registration process today.
