Tutor

Nottingham City

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for tutors in the Notitngham City area, to teach both primary and secondary students with SEMH and challenging behaviour.

Many of our students are Looked After or may have Education, Health and Care Plans for specific SEND needs. Most of the referrals we receive are for pupils with no current school place, tutors are required to brudge the gap and keep pupils engaged while a new school place is sought.

About the Role:

  • SEMH Primary/Secondary
  • 1 1 and small group support
  • Planning and delivering educational activities and sessions for Looked After Children and SEND children with no school place

Who we are looking for:

  • Excellent role models that are empathetic and enthusiastic.
  • Someone with a passion for teaching and education.
  • People who are comfortable lone working and communicating with local authorities and parents/carers
  • Tutors who are experienced working with challenging behaviour
  • Tutors with a sports background
  • Requirements Teachers with QTS
  • TAs with experience planning and delivering sessions 

Requirements:

 

  • Must own a UK drivers' licence and your own vehicle
  • Experience of teaching and working with children with SEMH
  • DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel
