Tuition Available – from February 2022

  • Locations: The Royal Borough of Greenwich and surrounding areas
  • Pay: £25/hour for 1:1; £30/hour for 1:2; £35/hour for 1:3 (PAYE – no umbrella company)
  • Subjects: mostly English and maths (functional skills and/or foundation GCSE)
  • Students: mostly secondary school age, who are not in education for a number of reasons

I am looking for tutors to join our books for tuition referrals, you will be taking on one or more students per day who require 1:1 tuition whilst they are out of school.

Students may require tuition because of any of the following reasons:

  • Excluded because of behaviour difficulties
  • New to the borough and not yet assigned a school or AP placement
  • Mental health difficulties – including anxiety and depression
  • SEN – including ASD, ADHD, global delay, medical and physical impairments, speech and language difficulties, sensory needs
  • They are a Looked After Child (LAC)

You will provide tuition for up to 5 days per week (Monday to Friday, term time only) and up to 3 hours per day per child, dependent on their ability level. Tuition must be delivered during school hours (anywhere between 9am and 4pm).

You must be confident sourcing materials, delivering content and assessing current working level.

You can manage your own diary, and take on more than one student per day if you would like to. You will be in direct contact with the parent or carer and you will be the most important person, academically, in the children’s lives until a new school or AP place can be assigned to them.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
