New Year, New Opportunities!

Are you a qualified Teacher looking for a more flexible option to working in schools, or need to supplement your current income? We work very closely with the Hampshire Virtual Schools and SEN Services to provide focused 1:1 tuition lessons to pupils throughout all of Hampshire and the South Coast.

The majority of the referrals that we receive are for children who are not in education and are awaiting school placements, and many of the children may be quite vulnerable. The learners need the support in order to ensure that they do not fall too far behind in the curriculum before being able to re-enter full time education. The lessons can vary from 1 hour a week to 3 hours a day Monday to Friday; this will be determined on a case by case basis. You can work with as many learners as you like, as you will have full flexibility and control of managing your own diary.

Learners may require tuition for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Behavioural difficulties (Pupils excluded from school and are waiting on a new placement)
  • Emotional needs such as high levels of anxiety
  • Refusal to attend school
  • Medical needs
  • Relocation to a new area and waiting for a school placement
  • Improvements in grades needed
  • Support with GCSE preparation
  • Support with transition into a new school

The majority of the tuition is within the core subjects; so specialists within this area would be beneficial in order to fulfill the current need. The referrals that we receive will be for children from Year 1 up to College age, so Primary and Secondary specialists are encouraged to apply. Tuition will best suit teachers who need the flexibility and would like to manage their own diary, or are looking to utilise their teaching skills outside of a school environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher
  • Experience teaching children, whether in a classroom or on a 1:1 basis
  • Preparation and planning of sessions

If you are have experience as a 1:1 tutor or are a Fully Qualified Teacher, please apply today!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
