Teaching Personnel are hiring for a Recruitment Consultant to work within our Special Educational Needs team in Liverpool, this is a full time & permanent position starting ASAP. Applications are welcomed from individuals with no and prior experience in the education or recruitment sector, this is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to forge a career in Education Recruitment with the UK’s market leading agency. Due to COVID - 19, this role will be remote working until otherwise specified (full IT equipment will be provided to support this). 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Recruitment Consultant at Teaching Personnel, you are the vital link between our client schools and candidates. You will join a thriving Liverpool team, your role will be to work solely with Special Educational Needs Schools and Alternative provisions and work to expectations and targets to continue the growth within our Merseyside location.

To be successful as a Recruitment Consultant you will:

  • Make a high volume of sales and business development calls to clients within your given area
  • Build and develop your own candidate database by sourcing and recruiting quality teachers and support staff and matching them to temporary and permanent job placements
  • Conduct face-to-face and virtual client meetings to build relationships with key decision makers in schools in order to successfully service your client schools
  • Work to KPIs and targets in line with your branch and personal career ladder requirements
  • Partake in the companies unique learning and development programme to enhance your recruitment knowledge and understanding of the job
  • Support your team and achieve team targets as well as individual accolades

Teaching Personnel specialise in supplying staff on a permanent and temporary basis to schools throughout the UK and Wales. We are currently recruiting for a talented individual to join us as a trainee or Recruitment Consultant. Due to COVID - 19, this role will be remote working until otherwise specified (full IT equipment will be provided to support this).

In addition to our learning and development programme for all new starters, you will receive unrivalled daily coaching and on-going support to ensure you are successful within this role. Previous experience in sales is not essential for this role, our support and training will give you the practical and theory elements needed to be a successful recruiter.

The ideal applicant will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality, tenacity and urgency are extremely important in a fast-paced environment like Education. They will also be resilient and have a passion for education, knowledge of the education sector would also be beneficial to the role.

We have a specific career path for our Recruitment Consultants to progress. We review performance regularly and you may qualify for promotions up to 4 times per year.

Hours of Work

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis (42.5 hours per week, 5 days per week).
