Teaching Assistant - Bury

My client school in Bury is seeking to employ an experienced teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a very challenging young person. The school is a specialist setting for children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The pupil can display challenging behaviour and can be very difficult to engage in education, so they are looking for a teaching assistant who is team-teach trained to promote positive behaviour.

The successful teaching assistant for this Bury post will be able to manage behaviour efficiently and engage the young person in education. The Bury school caters for young people in KS3 and KS4, so having experience with this age group is important. The school are looking for a team-teach trained TA with experience in supporting young people with SEMH difficulties.

The post can be an immediate start for a teaching assistant who is on the DBS update service.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
