Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Team-Teach SEN Teaching Assistant for a Special School based in LE12. The school is for students ranging from Primary, Secondary and Sixthform with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour. They are looking for candidates who are looking to develop a long standing career within the school and additional training will be provided.

Knowledge and qualifications required:

- Understanding of young people experiencing social & emotional issues

- Knowledge on Attachment Disorder and Autism

- GCSE's A* - C in English & Maths or equivalent

- Evidence of being a continual learner and undertaking further study

- Knowledge of Safeguarding young people

- Team-Teach Trained

- Previous role in or study of people with mental health issues

- Personal or professional knowledge of Autism

- Abitlity to use initiative and assess risk on ongoing basis

- Ability to work as part of a team

- Excellent timekeeping and attendance

- Ability to manage change and adapt to unexpected demands
