Team Leader - Education Recruitment

We now have an exciting opportunity for a new Team Leader with a passion for education to join our business in Cambridge.

We're looking for experienced education recruiters, or those from a similar background in other sectors who are looking for the next step in their career.

Our learning and development is market leading, which includes a fast track management programme to fully support the transition from Team Leader to Branch Manager and beyond.

What will I be responsible for?

The successful applicant will take the lead role for the Secondary & SEN Schools sector within our Cambridge location, benefiting from both an established client relationship base and great potential for future growth.

A strong work ethic and ability to lead from the front will be essential. You should also believe in the same things we do: team work, quality and continuous improvement.

You will work alongside one or two recruitment consultants, responsible for set up and review of the day. Your role is vital to the business, you are the leader, driver, motivator and you are supported by the Location Manager to make effective business decisions.

What can I expect?

You will be involved our management fast track programme. Not only do you receive coaching from other location and regional managers across the 84 branch network - you also get regular access to the Board of Directors who run the largest education recruitment business in the UK.

Your salary and on target earnings are upwards of £44,000 with a career ladder that demonstrates a clear path to progress all the way up to Director level.

What will I need?

This role is ideal if you are an experienced recruitment consultant who is looking to take their first step into management. As a team leader you will play a key role in guiding and nurturing your team whilst also being able to personally contribute to the business from a desk level.

Right Skills

  • An ability to inspire, lead and influence team members
  • Proven recruitment experience
  • Excellent communication, organisational, interpersonal and team working skills

Right Knowledge

  • A good understanding of the education sector (or similar sectors such as health care)
  • A successful track record of managing a desk over a consistent period of time with proven results
  • An understanding of the theory and necessary skills to lead a team effectively
