Teaching Assistant required for a school in Bodmin


Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a a group of schools in the truro arear who require a number of TA’s to start work as soon as possible.

Your Role:

You will be working on a 1:1 basis with students with special educational needs, in particular ADHD and Autism (ASD) and will be expected to provide support to them throughout the day in a variety of tasks. You will be assisting them with classroom activities set by the teacher as well as going off site with them to offer vocational learning also. Your day will vary and each day will be different.

You:

To be successful for this role you should be motivated and outgoing. You should have an enthusiastic approach to learning and be motivated to assist the child at all times. An empathetic attitude is necessary and you must be patient. Kindness is essential and you should be encouraging towards all the progress that the child is making.

Essentials:

To be successful for this role, you must have a full clean driving licence and business insurance (this can be sorted after registration). Level three or equivalent qualification in courses such as Childcare, Psychology or Health and Social Care is necessary and extra qualifications in relation to Supporting Education are advantageous. We will require references from your two most recent employees and where possible, must be in relation to working with children. A DBS on the Update Service is compulsory and can be applied for during the recruitment process.
