The school is rated Ofsted “outstanding and so is the teaching alliance of the school. To add to this success, the school was also recently awarded The World Class Schools quality mark.
Progress 8 measures the performance of the students compared to the national progress of students with the same starting points across 8 subjects, as prescribed by the government. In 2019 students made – on average – around three fifths of a grade more progress in each of these 8 subjects than their national counterparts with the same starting point. This places the school in the top DfE category for progress (‘well above average’) and well inside the top 10% of schools nationally.
This is quite simply a very good school, that is offering graduates the chance to train and mentor future teachers to the highest of standards. Competition for places will be high, but there are a number of places available.
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with this nationally recognised teaching school in Calderdale, in preparation for September 2020 and in collaboration with our future teachers programme! We have a number of graduate teaching assistant/ cover supervisor positions throughout our partner schools in Calderdale. We are looking for ambitious graduates who are keen to pursue a career in teaching; this is a 12 month position as a graduate teaching assistant/cover supervisor in which you will be fully supported as you prepare for teacher training and the schools direct teaching programme from September 2020.
•Graduate teaching assistant, full time 12 month position from September 2020
•Set placement in one secondary school preparing your for teacher training
•Induction process in the summer prior to September, regular training opportunities
•Train to become a secondary teacher in a nationally recognised, outstanding teaching school
•All subjects welcome, graduates in English, Maths and Science (plus none core subjects)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
