Behaviour Support Specialist (SEN Teaching Assistant)

Caversham (RG4) - 5 days - 08:15 to 3:30 

A mainstream Primary School in Caversham RG4 are currently looking to employ a flexible Teaching Assistant who is experienced and confident working alongside children with complex needs; and who has good behaviour management. 

The School has a recent OFSTED rating "Outstanding" and caters for 350 children ranging in ages from 5 to 11 years.

They are currently looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children within a School environment and with SEN needs
  • Are you able to put effective strategies in place in order to avoid confrontational and disruptive behaviour?
  • Be a good communicator and be able to work as part of a team
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and procedures
  • Be outgoing and have a strong classroom presence
  • Be experienced working with pupils on a small group and 1:1 basis
  • Have school based experience and be able to implement a range of behaviour interventions
