Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a challenging SEN School in the Chorley area. The School is smaller than average and currently caters for approximately 45 pupils across KS3/4. The School are seeking a hard working, enthusiastic, empathetic and experienced Teaching Assistant to work with their pupils who are often harder to reach. The School caters for pupils who have difficulty remaining in mainstream education due to their behaviour or additional learning needs. The School are hoping to appoint a full time member of staff to start within the next 4 weeks. The School hours are roughly 8.30am - 3.15pm and candidates must be available to work Monday - Friday to be considered for this role.

The candidate must be hard working, enthusiastic, empathetic and willing to work with pupils who display challenging behaviours and have additional learning needs. The candidate must be willing to provide support to pupils who can often be violent and/or verbally abusive.

The role will start after the February half term on a full time basis and candidates must be willing to provide one voluntary day in School prior to the role starting.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 64 per day (£9 - 10 per hour)
