Job Role? Mid – Day Supply

Then a teaching assistant role could be the one for you!

Teaching personnel is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants who are looking to do ‘mid-day supply’ hours ranging from 1 to 5 per day.

Many schools in the local area of Greenwich and Bexley are currently looking for MDS – more commonly known as ‘Mid-Day Supply’ staff. These hours typically cover other teaching assistants to free them up for their lunch breaks. You could also be covering anything from play-ground duty, or helping with lunchtime cover. Mid-Day Supply gives you the option to work a couple of hours during the day without it effecting your mornings and evenings. Shifts are typically between 1 – 5 hours long. Depending on the school and the amount you would like to work. A typical start time would be 10am and finishing at 2pm.

What are we looking for in you?

  • Passion for working with children  
  • Someone who is confident and can use own initiative
  • Experience isn’t required but is preferred
  • Organisation and basic knowledge of a school setting
  • Have a Child Vetted DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
  • Able to maintain good relationships with peers and children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
