Teaching Assistant with SEN Experience

Job description

Due to a recent agreement with one of our clients in the North Hykeham area, we are expecting an increase in demand for Teaching Assistants. Currently we are looking to support Learning Support Assistants to support across the school within a range of classes.

Teaching Personnel are seeking a TA who is happy to work across age groups as classes are often split based on their learning ability and level rather than age. The intake of students have a range of needs including MLD and physical disabilities, but primarily complex Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties. The school require a Teaching Assistant who can be flexible with bookings and work within a variety of classes depending on where the cover is needed within the school.

In order to apply, you must have experience in any of the following:

  • Special Educational Needs
  • Working in schools
  • Care Work

The ideal candidate will have experience of the following:

  • Makaton or PECs
  • Autism
  • Severe Learning Difficulties
  • Personal care

The successful candidate will be booked on a long term basis with a potential of it becoming a permanent role. To apply, please email your CV and covering letter

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
