Teaching Assistant with SEMH experience needed for North Manchester School (M9). Psychology Graduates would be perfect fit for the school

A challenging, fast paced primary school in North Manchester (M40) are actively seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their vivacious and hard-working staff. You will work with SEN students identified with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) on a 1:1 basis with a year 1 boy. This will contribute towards a purposeful learning environment by supporting classroom teachers in teaching and learning.

The ideal candidate will have some experience of working with SEN and will have outstanding inter-personal skills. You will need to be patient and sensitive with the ability to encourage and motivate children as well as being able to work effectively in a team. Experience of SEMH and phonic schemes will be advantageous.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
