Teaching Assistant with required in Burnley SEN School

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Burnley based School which caters exclusively for pupils with special educational needs and challenging behaviours. The pupils in School have a range of needs including; Autism, ODD, ADHD, PMLD, Physical Disabilities and Learning Difficulties. The pupils in School can occasionally display challenging behaviours, therefore strong classroom management skills are required.

The School is smaller than average and currently caters for approximately 75 pupils aged between 11 - 17 years of age. The School are looking for an enthusiastic, empathetic, experienced and hard working Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who are harder to reach and have special educational needs.

The candidate must be hard working, have experience supporting pupils with special educational needs and be willing to provide personal care when required. The successful candidate can benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 69 per day

- Long term position available

- Rewarding position supporting pupils with SEN
