Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a Primary Special Educational Needs School in Wigan. We are looking for people that are flexible and can work on a day to day basis as well as people that would like long term work.

The rate of pay for this school is £8.41 per hour.

Our client school provides education for pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties from Years 1 to 6.Everyone in the school strives to create an environment where teamwork, support and friendship form the basis of our relationships. This school is a 10 minute drive from the M6 and a short distance from the A58. There are bus stops within walking distance from the school.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Responsibilities

*To encourage pupils to join in with all activities and to take a full and active part in school life.

*To prepare, modify and adapt resources and learning materials for the pupil as agreed with the class teacher and other professionals.

*To encourage the pupil to develop a positive self image, and to develop confidence in their abilities and communication with others.

*To work on own initiative and manage situations with children with challenging behaviours including verbal and physical aggression

SEN Teaching Assistant - Requirements

You must have had solid experience working with children and/or young people with behavioural difficulties. It is preferred for this school for teaching assistant to be Team-Teach qualified.
