Teaching Assistant - Wakefield

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs and SEMH school in Wakefield. The school caters to all key stages and has two sites; one is a specialist SEN site that supports students with a range of complex special needs and mixed abilities and the other site supports students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues that display challenging behaviours.

We are looking for candidates to work at either site who are knowledgeable in SEN and SEMH needs. Candidates with experience in supporting disadvantaged and Looked After Children and students with challenging behaviour is ideal for the SEMH site of the school and those who hold the Team Teach, MAPA or equivalent de-escalation qualification is ideal.

We are looking for open minded and non-judgemental candidates who are able to dedicate themselves to supporting these students.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
