Pay: £75-£85 daily rate on PAYE scheme

Location:Lewisham, based in pupils home, public places or in schools 1:1 centre


Start date : September 2019

We are seeking experienced 1:1 teaching assistant tutors for an alternative provision, there are new secondary students in the Lewisham area in need of 1:1 support who all have a statement of behavioural needs or autism and communication needs.

Students education are considered on an individual basis, and a tailor-made programme of education is designed to meet his or her specific needs. This may take the form of one-to-one education, group education, or a combination of both which take place in the 1:1 centres, students homes or in public places appropriate for 1:1 sessions. The schools objective has always been to advance education, through creative means and engage hard to reach young people.

As a 1:1 support teaching assistant tutor here you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering 1:1 sessions on Literacy , Numeracy and elements of Science
  • Sessions should be incredibly interactive and engaging to interest pupils who are disengaged from their education
  • Write evaluation report of 1:1 sessions to feedback progress to parents
