Teaching Assistant to support Mental Health Needs

Job description

We are currently looking for passionate Team Teach qualified Teaching Assistants who are available full time in. The role is to support KS1 pupils at a Primary Special Needs School that caters for Autism and Social, Emotional Mental Health Needs

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Team Teach qualification and have experience working in either a mainstream or SEN environment with children with a variety of Special Needs and have experience working in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. The successful candidate will be inspiring, positive, and committed to helping the children.


  • Supporting students with special needs across the years
  • Supporting a wide spectrum of SEN;, ADHD, Autism and Metal Health Needs
  • Constructing 1:1 work with students in Numeracy and Literacy
  • Devising action plans to manage the behaviour of the students
  • Assist in the educational and social development of students
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes for students
  • Monitor and support the students
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Support students with emotional and behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
