Are you passionate about assisting students within the classroom supporting them in subjects they may struggle with?
A secondary school in the Tameside area are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their support staff team. The successful teaching assistant would be working within the classroom of this 'Good' secondary school, assisting across all subjects but with a focus on the core subjects of Maths, English and Science. The school are looking for an experienced TA or an individual who is experienced at working with young adults aged between 11 and 16. This role is due to start in January but could possibly start sooner depending on the individual's availability in line with the schools requirement.

The school is situated in the Tameside area and as a result of the local catchment area has a high proportion of students with English as an Additional Language (EAL). The school is particularly focussed on innovative teaching and ensuring students maintain the positive attitude to learning that the school team have worked on achieving. They are therefore looking for a TA who is able to keep students on task and engage with them and their schoolwork assisting in subjects as required. The successful TA would also benefit from having had experience of working with students from all backgrounds and those with EAL, from a Muslim, Bangladeshi and Islamic Faith background.

**Pay ranging between £50 - £65 dependent upon experience
