Are you a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant seeking a new role in a small, friendly York primary school?

Are you able to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as Autism (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication needs (SLCN)?

Do you have a positive attitude and the ability to motivate and engage young children?

If so, then we would like to hear from you!

Teaching Personnel are currently supporting a small, village primary school, situated just a few miles east of York city centre, who require a 1:1 Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant.

The role:

  • Part-time (every morning) until July 2019
  • 1:1 SEN support
  • KS2

Specifically, you will be supporting a pupil in upper KS2, who has Autism and Speech, Language and Communication Needs.

Requirements:

We are seeking a proactive, resilient and committed Teaching Assistant for this role. A genuine passion for SEN and the desire to make a difference will go a long way. The ideal candidate will be experienced in supporting SEN children and also possess the ability the support with language development. You should have a basic understanding of literacy and maths, to support the pupil in their last year of primary school. Relevant qualifications will be beneficial, however, we will consider all applicants with experience.
