Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to provide 1-2-1 support to children with a range of Special Educational Needs. The role will consist of both 1-2-1 and small group support of SEN pupils in purpose built SEN schools across Milton Keynes.

We are looking for candidates who are adaptable, dedicated and excel in providing 1-2-1 support. Candidates must have previous experience SEN experience either working within a SEN or Primary School setting or from working with Special Educational Needs outside of a school environment. You must be passionate about children's learning.

The ideal candidate would…

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. an NQV or CACHE L2 or L3), this is not essential but would be desired
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident. This is essential
  • Have at least 6 months school based experience of working with SEN of some sort
  • Hold a current Child Workforce DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
