A specialist provision situated in Central Manchester are currently looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (with a background in dealing with challenging behaviours) who is passionate about pursing a career in education. Due to the nature of the needs of the pupils who attend these settings individuals who have a background working in the army or royal navy tend to excel as they are able to take a 'no-nonsense approach' to dealing with challenging behaviour effectively.

These positions are commencing as soon as possible and will involve working until the end of the academic year and could potentially lead to permanent roles dependent on performance. These roles will involve working from 8.30 - 3.30pm 5 days per week (Monday - Friday) .

In order to apply for the role you should have:

  • High levels of emotional and physical resilience
  • The ability to build positive relationships with Teachers and pupils
  • A passion for supporting pupils with SEMH, interaction difficulties and with SEN
  • A non-judgemental approach
  • Training in physical restraint

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
