Job description

We are seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants for a Special Educational Needs provision based in the Bedford area. The school requires the TA to be readily available to be booked advanced daily or last minute emergency cover.

You will be working in a mainstream secondary school within their Designated Special Provision that caters for students with a range of additional needs such as Autism, Moderate & Severe Learning Difficulties, and Challenging Behaviour.

Your roles and responsibilities:

  • One to One Support and classroom support
  • Supporting Students with a variety of Special Education Needs
  • Assist Class Teacher with Behaviour Management
  • Working with Children aged 11 - 17 Years old

Requirements:

  • A positive and nurturing attitude
  • Experience of working with Children
  • Available either Full or Part Time to start ASAP

Desirable:

  • Experienced as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Experienced with Special Needs outside of a school environment
