Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work in a SEN school. Not only will they be able to support the students, but also the teacher in daily tasks. This school based in Maidenhead works with students maily with Autism and complex learning needs. The position would need to be filled by someone who is kind and friendly, resilient and can take a challenge under their wing! For this role experience is desirable but NOT ESSENTIAL! What will the role entail?
- Supporting students with their learning and development needs and supporting their social and emotional needs
- Assisting the teacher in planning and delivering lessons
- Problem solving issues
What are we looking for?
- Understanding and knowledge of different kinds of SEN - specifically autism
- Someone who is willing to learn and undertake training when necessary
- An individual who is passionate, empathetic and patient
This school works with children at the age of 4-16 years old. They create their learning environment in smaller groups of children - this is to increase the opportunity of a tailored, more personalised approach. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
